Do I have all I need for my medical journey?
March 21, 2019Planning and thinking ahead is one of the key facts when I already made my decision and bought my airline tickets to have my medical procedure abroad, whether it is plastic surgery, dental treatment, bariatric or orthopedic surgery. Why I said this? Because, not so long ago I met this patient from Long Island, New York who came for a face lift, he was very happy with the results of the surgery!
The only problem was the fact of one medical condition he had and forgot to bring his special medication for it and he really needed it….. Nowhere in Guadalajara, Mexico will he be able to find this particular medicine. Well, he went through the inconvenience of trying to get it shipped to Mexico. Fortunately he got it! So guys, make a checklist of the things you really need to have in your travel bag before you leave your country because you don’t know if the place you go will have the same medications or perhaps generic meds. This nice man was lucky enough to have it shipped to Mexico., some countries do not allow it.
